400 Free
Katie McCarthy of Edina finished in a time of 4:17.38, which will place her in the D final this evening. Â
100 Breaststroke
Aquajets’ Olivia Anderson finished 23rd overall in the preliminary session with a time of 1:10.41. Anderson’s swim qualified her for tonight’s C final.
On the men’s side, NCAA National Champion Max McHugh finished 10th in the preliminaries in a time of 1:00.77, earning a spot in the B final this evening. Charlie Egeland finished in a time of 1:02.53, which qualified him for the D final.
100 Backstroke
Regan Smith and Isabelle Stadden continued their strong performances and are both seeded into the A final for tonight’s 100 Backstroke. Stadden, the Cal Bear from Blaine, finished in a time of 59.66 and will be in contention this evening. Smith will head to finals as the top seed in a preliminary time of 58.04 – keep an eye on the world record tonight of 57.45 as Smith continues to challenge her lifetime bests at this meet. Aquajets Emma Kern (1:02.08) and Grace Rabb (1:02.34) both earned spots in tonight’s D final.
Jack Dahlgren, Minnesota’s only entry in the men’s 100 backstroke, finished 25th and in the first alternate spot for tonight’s C final with a time of 55.29.
