Today 35 Minnesota swimmers will be competing in the 2023 Central Zone Open Water Championships in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Reports from Lake Andrea have the conditions being a bit chilly, with air temperatures at sixty degrees with a gusty wind of 15mph. I'm sure the kids can't wait to get in the water!
Three different distances are offered at this events with 10&U swimming 1.25K, 11-12 and 13-14 2.5K and seniors swimming 5K. Qualifying times for this event are USA Swimming A times (Gold) in the 200 and 500 Freestyle.
Stay warm open water swimmers, represent Minnesota well and Vibe on! We will post results when we get them.
