Last day of the Phillips 66 Senior National Championship and only two events on the docket for prelims, then a distance session, and then the finals tonight. We have seven swimmers, each with one swim this morning

200 IM

  • Megan Van Berkom, University of Minnesota 
  • Grace Rabb, Aquajets (Andover)
  • Regan Smith, Sun Devil Swimming (Riptide, Lakeville)
  • Kaiser Neverman, University of Minnesota 

50 Free

  • Caroline Larsen, Foxjets (Eden Prairie)
  • Emma Kern, Aquajets (Delano)
  • Jack Dahlgren, Team Triumph (Aquajets, Chaska/Chanhassen)

    Prelims Recap

    200 IM

    Regan Smith decided to sit this one out after an phenomenal meet and went declared a false start. Golden Gopher Megan Van Berkom finished in 35th with a time of 2:17.01. It will take a few scratches to get her into the D final this evening. Aquajets Grace Rabb finished just behind Van Berkom in 39th place, with a time of 2:19.81

    On the men’s side, the University of Minnesota’s Kaiser Neverman will be in the C final tonight as he finished 24th with a time of 2:02.15

    50 Freestyle

    Caroline Larsen of Foxjets continued her strong meet, tying her life time best of 25.35, placing her a tie for 15th and into the B final heat this evening. Aquajet’s Emma Kern finished her meet with a 59th place time of 26.63.

    Jack Dahlgren was the only male swimmer in the 50 Free and he broke the 23 barrier with a 22.97, which placed him 31st after prelims. He will be seeded in the D final this evening
