from Coach Evan Shanley
One characteristic leaders have is the ability to be in tune with how your teammates are feeling. That seems to be a strength for Amara. Her coach Evan Shanley told us “Amara can sense when someone is upset or bothered. “
What’s more impressive, is that this is Amara’s first year on the team. Coach Shanley said “She always wants to make sure everyone knows they’re important and special, and accepted.” Serious Vibe cred there!
Amara’s great attitude carries over to her work in the pool. Regarding her swimming, Coach Shanley remarked “She enjoys swimming and always gives her best effort. She has a long, smooth stroke and has improved so much in the month she’s been on the team!
One cool thing Amara likes to do is draw eyes. They are the window to the soul after all. She will draw someone an eye when they are struggling to cheer them up and let them know she’s there for them.
Minnesota Swim and Vibe, your coaches and your teammates recognize what a great asset you are to the team and to the sport. Vibe on Amara!
