What’s better than competing against a neighboring school?
Working together with them to support an awesome cause!!
That’s exactly what the ladies from Rochester Century and Rochester Mayo did on August 26th. Each team of girls provided volunteers to run a water station for the Healthy Human Race event in Rochester that day.
According to their website “The Healthy Human Race is the signature event of the Rochester Running Club. All proceeds help fund the Rochester Running Club and their many efforts to support the local running community. Events like the All-Comers’ Track meets, the Grand Prix, Save the Track and many more would not be possible without your financial support.”
Not only did they volunteer, a couple of teammates took it a step farther. Both Elise Weingarten and Zia Raukur ran the race!
Now I’m not sure about swimmers running anywhere, but it was for a good cause, so we will let it slide. Well done coaches, well done teams, and well done ladies!
