Section 3A Recognition Spotlight: Grace Schmidt  (Litchfield)

from Coach Ashlynn Mattson

After spending six seasons together, you get to know a student athlete pretty well. You get to know what makes them unique and you get to watch them grow and develop new skills in and out of the pool. Litchfield head coach Ashlynn Mattson shares a little bit about what makes senior Grace Schmidt special and a valued member of her squad.

“I’d like to recognize Grace because she has been such a great asset to our team. She is well-rounded, meaning she swims just about anything. She is always positive and working hard at practice.” said Coach Mattson. “She is great at communicating and finding things she can always improve on. She’s great in the pool, but the team loves her as an individual. She has been so supportive, fun, and kind to all of her teammates. She deserves to be in the spotlight! “

Something fun about Grace is that she likes to lay on the floor for about 10 minutes after her 200 IM. She sure makes a lot of people laugh when she does that!

It sounds like Grace has given a lot to the Dragons Swim and Dive team over her six years and will definitely be missed. Minnesota Swim and Vibe would like to join your coaches in recognizing you for all you’ve given to your team, your teammates and the sport. Vibe on Grace!!!
