Nothing builds a team culture better and faster than quality leadership. Coach Liz Horan wanted to recognize one of her seniors and captains for exactly that. Ellsa Sorenson-Wagner is in her fifth year on the team and this is what Coach Horan had to say about her.
“Ellsa has a powerful heart” began Coach Horan. “She knows the pulse & spirit of our team, loves the high school team sport of swimming and diving and displays above & beyond leadership, day in and out.” One of the qualities all leaders have in common is their consistency and it sounds like Ellsa is one the team can count on each and every day.
According to coach Horan, Ellsa enjoys leading the ab workouts for the Royals and her love of swimming goes beyond her high school team. She also is an assistant swim coach for one of the local club teams. Sounds like swimming is a lifestyle for Ellsa and not just a fall sport!
