We had the privilege to write some really cool stories about some absolutely amazing people in our sport. The Vibe thinks that’s really what makes the sport great. Fast swimming is awesome to witness, but the people in the sport, fast or not is what makes it what it is.
During our high school recognition spotlights, Minnetonka coach John Bradley shared the story of Ava Muench and her journey to becoming a part of the Minnetonka Girls Swim and Dive team. It highlighted the positive impact kids can have on others, a girl’s desire to chase down what she wanted to accomplish and a culture that valued going all in to support that.
Sure, WCCO did a better job covering it with their professional reporters and cameras and such, but we were happy to get to share it as well and it was one of those articles that made us tear up a bit putting together. The original article can be found here.
Minnesota Swim and Vibe wants to thank the Minnetonka squad for sharing and for everyone that took a little extra time to recognize someone this year. It’s those things that make the biggest impact.
