Section 5A Recognition Spotlight – Jacob Robischon and Zander Olmschenk (Melrose/Sauk Centre Fusion)

from Coach James Schreiner

Jacob Robischon and Zander Olmschenk are the only seniors on the Melrose/Sauk Centre Fusion swim team this season but the young men provide amazing leadership for their teammates.

Jacob Robischon is one of the most technical swimmers we’ve had on the team and this attention to detail allows him to be one of the fastest in team history.  Jacob is always looking for a way to be better.  He can compete all strokes and distances at a high level.  He’s a great all-around swimmer and a fierce competitor which makes everyone around him better.

Zander Olmschenk is the kind of swimmer every coach wants on their team.  He is a leader in the pool and in his dryland routine. Zander is always willing to swim any event we ask him to compete.  Zander can consistently be found at the end of the lane cheering his teammates. He is one of the last ones on the pool deck making sure everything is put away before he leaves.

The swimming skills of these young men are just a small part of their contribution to the team.  They are hard workers who have earned the respect of their teammates and coaches.

Outstanding work boys. Leadership is invaluable to a team and it sounds like you two bring the leadership on a daily basis. Minnesota Swim and Vibe would like to join your coaches in recognizing all you have given to your teammates and program. Vibe on boys!!!
