Here at the Vibe, we fancy ourselves a little bit of data nerds. But…we are old enough and wise enough to know data only can tell you probability. What is likely to happen, not what will happen. One of our favorite parts of this sport is it only takes a sliver of possibility and the right attitude and you can fins ways to defy probability.
With that early morning ramble done, let’s look at the how the team standings look after prelims.
In Class A, Breck/Blake looks to be well on it’s way to another state title. By scoring out the prelim results, they are at 326 points. St. Thomas Academy looks to be the likely runner up at 235 prelim points. Fun battle shaping up for third between Hutchinson at 207 and Northfield at 201.
Here’s how the rest of the prelims scoring shakes out for Class A
In Class AA, we have a good old fashion battle between two rivals. Minnetonka put together an impressive prelims and their prelim results score out to 280 with Edina right behind them at 268. This will be a fun one to watch play out tonight. Prior Lake at 228, Wayzata at 188 and Lakeville South at 165 round out the top 5 with a slight possibility of movement there. Here’s the full look at Class AA
Like we started off with, these are just probabilities based off of the prelims sessions. There are no points given for prelims swims and no trophies handed out for hypothetical results. The boys have a lot they can control to make things change. It comes down to who wants to change it and has the determination to make it happen. Good luck boys!!!
