Hi Minnesota LSC Members and Coaches,
We’re excited to share that Minnesota Swimming is partnering with the LEAD Sports Co. to bring the 8th annual LEAD Summit to Minneapolis over Labor Day weekend (August 29 – September 1).
The LEAD Summit is a “leadership retreat” style event that provides teenage girl swimmers with hands-on experience working alongside Team USA Olympic legends and coaching professionals.
The three-day overnight event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis University Area (511 SE Huron Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55414). Athletes will check in on Friday, August 29th and check out Monday, September 1st. There will also be a 1-day parent track and coaches track during LEAD, on Sunday August 31st.
This high-impact weekend will feature keynotes and breakout sessions with:
- Lilly King – 3-time Olympian, World Record Holder and LEAD fan favorite. Lilly’s talks at LEAD focus on building confidence, taking care of your mental health and how to enjoy the goal chasing process.
- Elizabeth Beisel – 3-time Olympian, USA Olympic Team Captain, NBC Broadcaster and professional musician. Elizabeth’s talks at LEAD focus on leadership, team building and authenticity.
- Coach Christen – internationally known and respected confidence coach who works with Olympians, World Record holders, and NCAA athletes – and anyone who wants to overcome their fears and reach their full potential.
- Dr. Megan Cannon – a licensed sport psychologist who has helped countless athletes unlock their MVP mindset through the science and psychology of emotional health and peak performance.
- Kara Lynn Joyce – 3-time Olympian and Founder of LEAD. Kara shares with athletes her experience and tools of how to find success both in and out of the pool.
Exclusive Registration for Minnesota Swimming LSC members:
In partnership with LEAD, Minnesota Swimming athletes will have an exclusive to register for LEAD, before it goes live to the general public. There are only 125 spots available for the whole country and athletes will fly in from all over to attend LEAD. Limited to just 125 participants nationwide, LEAD is an exclusive event attracting athletes from across the country.
