Section Outlook

Stillwater brings back a deep and versatile roster. Audrey Serres, a junior, placed 3rd and 14th at state in the 200 Yard IM and later 3rd and 7th at state in the 100 Yard Breast. Claire Christianson, a freshman, placed 2nd and 10th at state in the 200 Yard IM and later 2nd and 4th at state in the 100 Yard Breast. Gabbi Pearson, also a freshman, placed 6th in the 50 Yard Free. Hailey Schmit, a 12th grader, placed 6th in the 100 Yard Fly and later 7th in the 100 Yard Back. Isabel Koch, a 12th grader, placed 6th in the 100 Yard Back. Julia Petersen, a junior, placed 8th in the 200 Yard Free and later 7th in the 100 Yard Free. Lucy Paczosa, a junior, placed 1st and 11th at state in the 50 Yard Free and later 2nd and 11th at state in the 100 Yard Free. Maddie Mathiason, a 8th grader, placed 6th in the 200 Yard IM and later 6th and 12th at state in the 100 Yard Breast. Maddy Kissinger, also an 8th grader, placed 8th in the 100 Yard Back. Neva Sanders, a sophomore, placed 1st and 14th at state in the 100 Yard Fly and later 2nd and 8th at state in the 100 Yard Back. Reese Bilot, a 12th grader, placed 5th in the 200 Yard Free and later 5th in the 500 Yard Free. Shaeffer Watson, a 12th grader, placed 7th in the 50 Yard Free.

East Ridge features a number of returning contributors who made their mark last postseason. Alyssa Wang, a junior, placed 10th in the 50 Yard Free and later 8th in the 100 Yard Fly. Emma Wood, a junior, placed 1st and 4th at state in the 200 Yard Free and later 2nd and 6th at state in the 500 Yard Free. Irene Lee, a 12th grader, placed 10th in the 50 Yard Free and later 4th in the 100 Yard Back. Logan Havermann, a junior, placed 1st and 1st at state in the 200 Yard IM and later 1st and 1st at state in the 100 Yard Breast. Malea Johnson, a 12th grader, placed 4th in the 200 Yard IM and later 4th and 11th at state in the 100 Yard Breast. Megyn Gillard, a junior, placed 2nd and 14th at state in the 50 Yard Free and later 5th in the 100 Yard Free. Mia Seidl, a junior, placed 4th in the 500 Yard Free and later 8th in the 100 Yard Breast. Olivia McClintock, a freshman, placed 3rd in the 100 Yard Fly and later 5th in the 100 Yard Back. Sabine Keister, a sophomore, placed 8th in the 200 Yard IM and later 2nd in the 100 Yard Fly.

Mounds View returns a well-rounded group with strength across strokes and diving. Ellie Bina, a 12th grader, placed 2nd and 7th at state in the 200 Yard Free and later 1st and 4th at state in the 500 Yard Free. Kamdyn Karel, a 12th grader, placed 7th in the 1 mtr Diving. Kara Gorzek, a sophomore, placed 4th in the 200 Yard Free and later 7th in the 500 Yard Free. Lauren Maki, a sophmore, placed 5th in the 200 Yard IM and later 4th in the 100 Yard Free. Riley Bury, a freshman, placed 15th in the 100 Yard Fly and later 5th in the 100 Yard Breast. Savanna Crego, a 12th grader, placed 8th in the 1 mtr Diving.

Woodbury enters the season with several returning scorers across multiple disciplines. Addison Forshee, a 12th grader, placed 8th in the 500 Yard Free. Avery Forshee, a junior, placed 7th in the 200 Yard IM and later 10th in the 500 Yard Free. Iris Sorenson-Wagner, a sophomore, placed 5th in the 50 Yard Free and later 7th in the 100 Yard Breast. Kairi Brown, a junior, placed 9th in the 200 Yard Free and later 8th in the 100 Yard Free. Nina Faulkner, a sophomore, placed 2nd and 9th at state in the 1 mtr Diving.

White Bear Lake has key returners looking to build on strong section finishes. Charlotte McIntyre, a sophmore, placed 10th in the 200 Yard IM and later 4th in the 100 Yard Fly.

Roseville graduated many of their high scoring individuals swimmers and will rely on their rising seniors and juniors to fill the void.

Tartan senior Gabby Flemming returns as the leading point scorer from last season with a 16th place finish in the 500 Free and 11th place finish in a competitive 100 Back.

North St. Paul gets bumped up from section 4a and will look to a young group of athletes to find some footing in their new section.
