Swimming & Diving: Scots Earn Scholar All-America Recognition for Spring Semester; Wray-Raabolle Named Scholar All-America

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were both named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches of America Association (CSCAA), the organization announced. A total of 763 teams were named to the list. Additionally, senior Verity Wray-Raabolle (Owatonna, Minn./Bethlehem Academy) was named to the Scholar All-America second team.

To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a ‘B’ time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet. Wray-Raabolle, who won the 100-yard backstroke and posted seven All-MIAC performances at the 2025 MIAC Swimming & Diving Championships, qualified for the NCAA Championships with a ‘B’ time in the 100-yard backstroke. She graduated from Macalester in May as a classical archaeology major.

In order to qualify as a Scholar All-America Team, teams must achieve at least a 3.0 grade point average for the 2025 spring semester. The men’s team posted a 3.79 team GPA for the spring semester to rank seventh among NCAA Division III men’s swimming and diving teams. The women’s team recorded a 3.76 team GPA, which is tied for 20th in Division III.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
