
SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s swimming & diving team competed against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointers on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties won 12 events against the Pointers and were top-three in 15.
Mason Deitering led Gustavus in both the 1000 and 500 freestyle events, winning both with times of 10:28.36 and 5:03.39 respectively. Logan Cyr placed first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.71. Logan Braley won the 100 freestyle, leading the way at 48.68. Braden Ripken led the Gusties in the 50 freestyle, placing second with a time of 21.74.
Aidynn Havermann and Declan Vahey won the 200 and 100 backstroke events. Havermann took the 200 at 2:00.55 and Vahey led the 100 at 53.01.
Mason Cote led Gustavus in the breaststroke, winning the 200 with a time of 2:16.13. Aiden Carlson placed second in the 100 breaststroke at 59.99.
Ben Kelly won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.10. Declan Vahey was second in the 100 butterfly, finishing in 53.42.
Kelly also won the 400 IM with a time of 4:24.93. Havermann took first in the 200 IM with a winning time of 2:00.98.
The Gusties won the 400 and 200 medley relays with times of 3:15.61 and 1:37.55 respectively.
