
FREMONT, Neb. – The University of Minnesota Morris men’s swim and dive team fell to Midland University, 206-67, on Saturday in Fremont, Neb.
The Cougars opened the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as the team of Ethan Bad Heart Bull, Dillon Thorstad, Austin Dunn, and Ben Caron got the Cougars on the board.
John Gulon earned a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle to highlight the early events, while Jakob Linscheid led UMM in the 100-yard breaststroke with a third-place result.
Gulon notched another podium finish in the 50-yard freestyle, and Riley McKenzie secured the Cougars’ lone event win of the day with a first-place finish in the one-meter dive. Bad Heart Bull added a third-place showing in the 500-yard freestyle.
Minnesota Morris closed out the meet with a strong performance in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as the team of Caron, Thorstad, Dunn, and Gulon placed second.
The Cougars return to action on Nov. 1 when they travel to Hamline University for a 1 p.m. meet.
