
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – St. Cloud State Swim & Dive had a pair of swimmers earn weekly honors, as announced by the organizations on Tuesday. Junior Lance Godard (Lee’s Summit, Mo.) was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Swimmer of the Week and senior Izzy Koebele (Bismarck, N.D.) was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Swimmer of the Week.
Lance Godard – GLIAC Swimmer of the Week
- Finished first in two individual events and one relay in dual against Division-I St. Thomas on Nov. 8, helping the Huskies earn a 198-97 win over the Tommies.
- In individual events, finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (48.28) and 200-yard butterfly (1:48.91)
- In relay events, finished first in the 200-yard medley (1:28.30) and second in the 400-yard freestyle (3:07.17).
- His 100 fly time ranks third in GLIAC and 10th in NCAA D-II while his 200 fly time leads the GLIAC and ranks 11th in NCAA D-II.
Izzy Koebele – NSIC Swimmer of the Week
- Finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:28.01) in dual against St. Thomas
- Was second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.60)
- Both times are the fastest times swam by an NSIC swimmer in the events this season
- Her 1000-yard time is 18 seconds faster and her 500-yard time is 13 seconds faster than the second-fastest NSIC swimmer.
