Roseville closed out its home dual in impressive fashion Thursday night, using sprint speed, relay execution, and clutch performances in the middle events to earn a 98–87 varsity victory over Mounds View. The meet stayed competitive throughout, but Roseville’s consistency at the top of key events proved to be the difference.
The Raiders set the tone early in the varsity 200 Medley Relay. The A relay of Miles Vestrum, Luke White, Basheer Al-Homoud, and Jack Souvignier touched first in 1:42.87, edging Mounds View’s A relay (1:44.10) and giving Roseville an early advantage.
Roseville carried that momentum into the 200 Freestyle, stacking points with a strong 1-2 finish from Magnus Olmanson (2:01.17) and Soren Bjorum (2:01.61). Mounds View’s Holden Then kept the Mustangs close with a third-place finish (2:03.40), but Roseville’s depth limited the swing.
The meet tightened in the 200 IM, where Danny Bai delivered a key win for Mounds View in 1:58.27. Roseville countered with Miles Vestrum taking second (2:05.64) and additional points from Ronin Ford, keeping the overall margin narrow.

Mounds View gained ground on the boards, sweeping the top three spots in varsity diving behind Charlie Hieb (212.15), Micah Prindle (181.15), and Nick Ehrentreich (173.25). The sweep proved to be one of the meet’s largest point swings and briefly put the Mustangs back in striking distance.
The 100 Butterfly delivered one of the night’s closest races. Holden Then edged the field for Mounds View in 59.01, holding off Roseville’s Basheer Al-Homoud (59.42) and Magnus Olmanson (59.77). Roseville limited the damage with multiple scorers, keeping the meet tight heading into the second half.
Roseville responded in the 100 Freestyle, sweeping the top three spots behind Jack Souvignier (51.22), Axel Stephens (54.66), and Gabriel Robuck (54.92). That sweep shifted momentum back toward the Raiders and proved pivotal in the team scoring.
Distance racing belonged to Mounds View in the 500 Freestyle, where the Mustangs swept the top three places with Grayson Then winning in 5:39.66, followed by Emmett Haller (5:42.76) and Jay Defeyter (5:53.64). Roseville countered with depth finishes from Lucas De Filippo Vannucci and Levi Beyer to stay within reach.
Relays again swung the meet in Roseville’s favor. The Raiders’ A team of Luke White, Axel Stephens, Gabriel Robuck, and Tristan Morelos Delgado captured the 200 Free Relay in 1:38.21, narrowly ahead of Mounds View’s A relay (1:38.92).
Mounds View answered in the 100 Backstroke as Danny Bai earned his second win of the night in 52.71, but Roseville stayed close with Miles Vestrum placing second (55.11) and additional points behind him.
The 100 Breaststroke provided another critical swing for Roseville. Luke White picked up his second individual win in 1:03.42, followed by Gabriel Robuck (1:09.44) and Samuel Fromm (1:13.44), helping the Raiders extend their lead heading into the final relay.
