Beck Named MIAC Women’s Swim & Dive Rookie of the Year as 12 Gusties Earn Conference Awards

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s swim & dive team had 12 student-athletes earn MIAC awards at the 2026 conference championship with Annika Beck earning Rookie of the Year honors, the conference announced on Monday.
 
Beck led the conference in both the 500 and 1650 freestyles and had the fourth-best time in the 400 IM heading into the championship meet. At that MIAC Championship, the first year was voted Rookie of the Year after setting personal records in all three events while winning both the 500 (5:06.82) and 1650 (17:37.69) freestyles and placing second in the 400 IM (4:35.46).
 
The Gusties emerged victorious at this year’s MIAC Championship, earning 788 points to clinch their third MIAC championship in a row. The title win is the 13th in program history for the Gusties, which is the second most for a team in conference history.
 
The top three finishers in each event at the 2026 MIAC Swimming and Diving Championships received All-Conference honors, while the individual fourth through sixth finishers and the fourth-place relay team earned honorable mention distinction.
