MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – The University of Minnesota men’s swimming and diving program hits the road this week, crossing the state lines over to Wisconsin for the 2026 Men’s Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Gophers are 6-5 overall and 0-3 against conference competition throughout the 2025-26 season. Most recently, the program fell to Purdue 144.50-208.50 and Northwestern 139.00-214.00 at the B1G triple dual in January.
Jacob Johnson tallied a new pool record for the Gophers on day one, etching his name into the Norris Aquatics Center record books with a 1:41.68 finish in the men’s 200 fly.
Luke Brennan collected a win in the men’s 1000 free, topping the heat sheet with a time of 9:00.82.
Daniel Eichel came out with a victory in the men’s 500 free, posting a time of 4:21.65 to help the Gophers sweep the 500 free races.
