BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Carleton College senior Hans Anderson was voted the MIAC Men’s Diver of the Year, while sophomore Nina Schwab was selected as the MIAC Women’s Diver of the Year.
Both divers swept their respective 1-meter and 3-meter competitions at the MIAC Championships.
Anderson earned his second consecutive Diver of the Year honor after winning both boards for the second straight year. He started the 2026 conference meet on the 3-meter board, posting a score of 483.55 in the preliminary round before totaling 448.50 points in the finals. Two days later, he scored 476.15 points in the prelims and 446.10 points in the 1-meter finals.
This is the fourth time that a Knight captured Men’s Diver of the Year recognition, and Anderson is the first to do so twice (see chart below).
Last year, Schwab shared Women’s Diver of the Year recognition with teammate Hailey Westrup but earned the honor outright in 2026.
Schwab repeated as conference champion and eclipsed her own MIAC Championships record when she scored of 483.15 in the 1-meter finals. She accumulated 519.85 points to cruise to the victory on the 3-meter board.
Similar to Anderson, Schwab has now won two of the Knights’ four all-time Women’s Diver of the Year awards.
