
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – St. Cloud State Men’s Swim & Dive finished the 2026 NCAA Division-II Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships with a pair of All-America finishes on the fifth and final day of the meet in Evansville, Ind. SCSU had All-America finishes in the 200-yard backstroke and 400-yard freestyle relay and finished the meet in 13th-place with 83 team points.
The Huskies 13th-place finish is tied for the fourth-best NCAA team finish in program history, trailing its finishes in 2025 (eighth), 1981 (10th) and 2013 (12th) while matching its finish from 1984.
Senior Matt Pietsch (Cheyenne, Wyo.) earned an individual All-America finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:46.31. In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the SCSU team of junior Reid Tigges (Spencer, Iowa), junior Justin Rowles (Plymouth, Minn.), junior Piotr Kowalczyk (Warsaw, Poland) and senior Mason Beck (Dickinson, N.D.) earned a 10th-place finish with a school record time of 2:54.37.
