ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College first year Ainsley Kashatus (Washington, D.C./Holton Arms School) has been selected to compete at the NCAA Diving Championships, the NCAA announced today. The NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will take place on March 18-21 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.
Kashatus’ performance on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Diving Regionals this past weekend at Kalamazoo College was impressive enough to qualify her for the national meet. After finishing 21st on the 1-meter board on Friday with a score of 354.90, Kashatus placed fifth on the 3-meter board on Saturday, posting a score of 426.00. Last weekend she took third on the 3-meter board at the MIAC Championships with a score of 430.25 to earn All-MIAC honors.
Kashatus will compete on the 1-meter board on Thursday, March 19, and on the 3-meter board on Saturday, March 21.
