When asked what makes this year’s team’s atmosphere unique and how it contributes to a championship team environment, Head Swimming & Diving Coach Jon Carlson responded, “this team really came here to have fun. We normally have a couple team meetings throughout the weekend but I didn’t think it was needed this year. I think the team took care of each other and took care of themselves individually and made the most of the weekend when they were in the water. They were swimming hard and when they were out of the water they were having fun with each other and enjoying the experience.”

Looking forward to championship season, the Gusties will host Gustie Challenge next weekend, Jan. 30 and Jan 31.
