BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Katelyn Siers of the Gustavus Adolphus College women’s swim & dive team has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Women’s Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Siers led Gustavus at the Gustie Challenge last week, winning the 100 backstroke (1:01.20) and 200 backstroke (2:13.45). The sophomore was also the runner-up in the 50 freestyle (24.86). Siers also helped her relay teams place second in the 200 freestyle relay (1:39.54), 400 medley relay (4:06.75), and 800 freestyle relay (8:35.43) and third in the 200 medley relay (1:54.71) and 400 freestyle relay (3:46.29).
Up next for Gustavus is the MIAC Championships starting Wednesday, February 11 and running for four days through Saturday.
