EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Concordia-St. Paul junior Sophie Leo finished 23rd in the 200-Yard Freestyle on day two of of the 2025-26 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at Deaconess Aquatic Center on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana on Thursday morning.
Sophie Leo continued her stellar meet with a 23rd place in the 200-Yard Freestyle, finishing nine placements higher than her seeded place coming into the meet. She finished with a time of 1:51.38, one tenth of a second less than her NCAA B-Cut.
The junior’s time marked a second lifetime best and broke the school record once again.
Lucy Hedley from Grand Valley finished first in prelims with a time of 1:47.75 to earn the top seed heading into finals at 5 p.m.
Leo will return to the pool tomorrow morning for the 100-yard backstroke prelims at 10 a.m.
