Day three in Indianapolis had 67 swims by Minnesota swimmers across the five events. The energy still seems high and the competition strong. Here’s how the morning session went.
Women’s 200 Fly

In the women’s 200 Butterfly, Annabelle Wentzel (Aquajets) punched her ticket back to the C final with a 2:24.04. Joining Wentzel in the C final will be Madeline Gau (Rochester) with a 2:25.79, Carly Bixby (Aquajets) 2:25.94, and Samantha Oeltjen (Rochester) 2:27.69.

Minnesota had two entries in the men’s 200 Butterfly, both representing the Rochester Swim Club. Thomas Parlette posted a time of 2:13.67 and teammate Aiden Johnson finished in 2:18.49.

Emma Kern (Aquajets) posted the top Minnesota time in the 50 free with a 26.57 to earn a spot in the C final tonight. Edina’s Libby McCarthy (27.01), Rochester’s Julia Ogden (27.44) and Aquajet Libby Bakker (27.49) were the next top Minnesota finishers.

The women’s 100 Backstroke has a strong Minnesota presence with 15 entries in the event. Emma Kern earned her way back to tonight’s A final with a 1:02.23, with teammate Grace Rabb finishing in 1:02.86 for a B final spot.Â
Fellow Aquajets Avery Luedke and Libby Bakker found themselves C final spots with times of 1:05.20 and 1:05.39 respectively. Aquajets Annabelle Wentzel (1:06.42), Rachel Broadhead (1:07.75) and Graycin Andreen (1:08.44) posted substantial drops from their entry times.Â
